Santa’s Spritz Christmas Cocktail

A fizzy, fun and delicious Christmas cocktail made with prosecco, rhubarb and ginger gin and cranberry juice. This simple cocktail is perfect for serving at holiday parties or for enjoying at weekends when it’s time to chill. It’s the best time of the year after all!

Because it’s never too early for cocktails….

Ok so can we all agree that it’s officially the festive season? I mean, Halloween is over, that’s the rule, right?

Santa’s Spritz Christmas Cocktail

Yup, I thought so and how could you not be excited about the best time of the year when it’s filled with things like this Christmas cocktail!?

Christmas cocktails are so much fun to make and they don’t need to be complicated or use loads of expensive liqueurs either. For this Santa’s spritz, I chose to use 2 alcoholic ingredients and 2 juices.

Oohst this stuff is SO delicious, I mean seriously. It’s sweet and has a strong taste of rhubarb more than ginger. I love to put a tiny splash in a glass of prosecco, you don’t need much or enjoy it with tonic water.

It’s perfect for making refreshing cocktails for any time of the year and it does so well in this Christmas cocktail! The brand I love to use is but a lot of companies make this flavour these days so it should be easy to find.

How To Make Santa’s Spritz Christmas Cocktail – Step By Step

Santa’s Spritz Christmas Cocktail

If I’m measuring out enough for just one or two I like to use a measuring jug so it can be easily mixed then poured into glasses. If you’re making it for more people then try using a larger pitcher.

First measure out 1 part rhubarb and ginger gin followed by, 2 parts Prosecco and 1 part cranberry juice. Stir then pour into glasses, top each glass with a splash of tonic water and a rosemary sprig.

Tips For Making A Santa Spritz Christmas Cocktail;

- Add ice to the measuring jug or pitcher to keep the drink cool

- If you can’t find rhubarb and ginger gin try using another sweet flavoured gin such as strawberry

Santa’s Spritz Christmas Cocktail

- The tonic water helps give a bitter edge to the cocktail and make it slightly more fizzy

- If you don’t like tonic water then try using sparkling water or sparkling lemonade

I enjoyed a rhubarb and ginger gin while I was in Ireland over the summer. It was delightful in a gin and tonic. I’ll have to look for it here in the States to make your beautiful cocktail. Bring on the holidays!

It’s so nice with tonic! Yay, I hope you get your hands on it
